Brad Pitt has reportedly been cleared of any foul play, after a September incident involving the actor and one of his children sparked a child abuse investigation.
The incident occurred on a private plane, one day before his wife, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce. Sources say, the couple had been arguing on their flight back from France. Sometime during the argument, Pitt, attacked his oldest son, Maddox, after he interjected, in an effort to defend his mother. In turn, Pitt lunged at his son. However, Jolie jumped in to block Pitt’s attack, not before the actor connected with Maddox in some way.
Since then, an inside source told CNN on Wednesday that Pitt has been cleared by the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services.
According to CNN, the news comes on the heels of Pitt’s first public appearance since the couple’s divorce announcement. It also comes on week after Pitt filed a request for joint custody, in response to Jolie’s initial request for sole physical custody of their six children.
