Britney Spears is speaking out against the Catholic church because it allegedly refused to marry her and her then-fiancé because she isn’t a member.
When Spears and her husband Sam Asghari were setting themselves up to get hitched, they were looking for venues to hold their ceremony. One of their options was to say their vows in a Catholic church.
“This is where I originally wanted to get married during COVID !!!!” said Brit in a caption on Instagram. “I wanted to go every Sunday … it’s beautiful and they said it was temporarily shut down due to COVID !!!!”
She continued: “Then 2 years later when I wanted to get married there they said I had to be catholic and go through TEST !!!!” She then questioned her followers, asking: “Isn’t church supposed to be open to all ????”
Nevertheless, this past June, Brit and her man came together in holy matrimony in the backyard of her Thousand Oaks mansion.
