Burger King is making a statement this holiday season with a confirmed SpongeBob SquarePants menu set to drop on December 2. The news, first teased through leaks and now confirmed by Burger King, ties in with the upcoming release of “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants,” hitting theaters December 19.
While full menu details haven’t been officially posted, alleged social media leaks have already stirred excitement. The star of the show appears to be a SpongeBob-themed Whopper served on a bright yellow, square-shaped bun, a visual nod to the animated icon himself. Alongside it, fans can expect Mr. Krabs’ Cheesy Bacon Tots, Patrick’s Star-berry Shortcake Pie, and a Pirates Frozen Pineapple Float. Each item seems crafted to reflect a character or element from the beloved Nickelodeon series. BK has not confirmed this menu.
To help celebrate the SpongeBob film, Burger King is also revamping its kids’ meals, including collectible toys, themed packaging, and even a SpongeBob-style crown.
In a statement to People, Burger King hinted, “Looks like word’s floated up from under the sea… we can confirm something fun (and square) is coming.” With the menu launching just weeks before the film, it’s a strategic move to build buzz across generations who grew up with the show.
If you’re planning to get your hands on these limited-time items, be ready on day one. Like most pop-culture menu drops, this one’s expected to sell fast.
