Cam’ron isn’t letting Jim Jones rewrite history.
After Jones claimed that Cam and Swizz Beatz cut an unfair deal for Dipset’s Verzuz battle against The Lox, Cam took to Instagram to set the record straight—with receipts.
Posting a clip of Jones’ remarks alongside a text exchange, Cam shared a message where Jones actually offered to do Verzuz for free.
“This opportunity is bigger than life to me, it’s not about money,” Jones wrote, calling it an “ultimate bucket list” dream. He even told Cam he’d give up his share just to make sure the battle happened if it opened doors for Dipset as a group and solo careers.
“But really I just wanna touch that stage in a big way,” Jones added. “If I have to take a loss to make a gain I’m willin to.”
Cam acknowledged that money wasn’t the issue but pointed out that others cashed in while they didn’t see much profit.
“Swizz and them ain’t pay nobody,” Cam claimed. “Then sold the company for 40/50M’s.”
“I don’t pay half the sht nas say no mind,” he wrote. “But you know I keep the files. You wanted to do Verzuz for free, na. So if you made a dollar, be happy. Talking bout it was on ya bucket list…”
Looks like this Dipset drama isn’t dying down anytime soon.
