It’s the season for love. While your favorite Ballers were getting married this weekend, Colts wide receiver, Hakeem Nicks, proposed to his girlfriend, swimsuit model Ariel Meredith. “Mrs. Nicks to be!” Ariel posted to Twitter, showing off her big diamond engagement ring.
As a model, Ariel Meredith was discovered at 14 in but did not pursue modeling full time until 2008 when she graduated high school in Shreveport, La. After that she moved to New York. She appeared in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit issue in 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2009. Besides modeling work with SI she’s also done work with Victoria’s Secret and Dolce & Gabbana. Ariel & Hakeem have been dating since around March, when Nicks signed his one-year contract with the Colts. He was previously playing for the NY Giants, winning a Super Bowl championship in 2012.
In my opinion this engagement is kind of fast but these two are clearly in love and you can’t put a timeframe on that. Congratulations to the happy couple!
