On Friday, Migos’ #Offset was arrested and slapped with two felonies and two misdemeanors, after drugs and guns were discovered in his car during a traffic stop.
Initially, the rapper was pulled over for an illegal lane change, but upon completing the stop, officials found three handguns, $107,000 in cash and marijuana, which landed the rapper in jail. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Shortly after, Offset was released on a $17,000 bail. In turn, his lawyer condemned the officers for their actions, claiming they targeted him because he’s rich, successful and black, and used the lane change as an excuse. As for the gun charge, Drew Findling said the guns belonged to the passenger, who is a licensed gun holder.

But now, the cops involved in the incident are firing back with facts, and refuting the rapper’s claims that they are the hip-hop police targeting him because he’s rich and successful.

According to TMZ, officials say the rapper was weaving through traffic when they pulled him over. They said they wrote him up for “failure to maintain lane” because he crossed the solid yellow line. And as for the guns, the police say the passenger did have a gun in his possession, but that was just one of the three found. The other two were inside the car.
