Ink Master star and popular tattoo artist Daniel Silva has officially been charged with second-degree murder as a result of the fatal car crash that claimed the life of his friend and YouTube star Corey La Barrie. A $2 million bail has been recommended for him.
In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office says that Silva “did unlawfully and with malice aforethought” murder La Barrie.
Silva was arrested for murder earlier this month after wrecking a black McLaren sports car after leaving a birthday celebration for La Barrie, who had just turned 25. La Barrie was in the passenger seat of that McLaren and took the brunt of the impact from the crash. Silva sustained a broken hip. However, he still attempted to flee the scene of the accident before being stopped by witnesses.
Witnesses who were present at the party told authorities that Silva was seen drinking before getting behind the wheel. However, as of now, he has not been charged with DUI.
