Doja Cat is cleared and must recover now. The “Vegas” rapper confirmed Thursday she underwent her second throat surgery, and it was a success.
Doja shared some photos from her hospital bed and confirmed to a fan that she completed the surgery. When the Twitter user asked if she was about to go into surgery, she responded, “did it already.”

She even tried to rap Nicki Minaj’s lyrics to “Bottoms Up” with Trey Songz, though her voice was very weak and it seemed painful as she attempted the song.

Earlier this year, Doja Cat revealed to fans that she would be canceling her upcoming dates on tour with The Weeknd to have more tonsil surgery done. She also said an abscess in her throat “hurt a lot.”
She shared that her throat became infected before the 2022 Billboard Awards because she forgot to take her antibiotics and then proceeded to drink and vape all day.
At the time, she tweeted, “dr. just had to cut into my left tonsil. i had an abscess in it. my whole throat is f–ked so i might have some bad news for yall coming soon.”
Doja admitted that she would be quitting vaping. She’s also had to cancel several performances this summer, and though she feels sorry for fans, she says she needs to recover to return to music.
She said, “I feel horrible about this but can’t wait for this to heal and get back to making music and create an experience for y’all.”
