If there was ever a time to cheat on your diet, it’s now, as Entenmann’s just introduced a new line of ice cream treats based on their iconic baked goods.
The sweets brand is switching things up with ice cream sandwiches, the company’s first time entering the frozen treat arena. The inaugural lineup includes Chocolatey Glazed Cookie Donut Salted Caramel, Chocolate Chip Cookie, Chocolatey Glazed Cookie Donut Chocolate, Brownie Cookie Salted Caramel, Chocolate Chip & Brownie Cookie and Glazed Cookie Donut. The outside of the sandwich is made of the baked treats, while the center is accompanying flavors.
Alicia Rosas, VP of Innovation at Entenmann’s parent company, Bimbo Bakeries USA, says the company is excited for its fans to try the new snack, which arrives just in time for the hot Summer months.
“Entenmann’s is thrilled to expand its portfolio into the freezer aisle and offer consumers a new lineup of ice cream sandwiches inspired by the iconic flavors our fans know and love,” Rosas said in a press release.
Entenmann’s selection has remained pretty stagnant in recent months in terms of new goodies. Last October, the brand added Cake Truffles to its extensive menu. Since then, only the classics have littered shelves across the country, so the introduction of its ice cream sandwiches is a welcome addition to its portfolio.
Entenmann’s latest addition has some stiff competition on the frozen treat island as it joins other famed brands who have turned their adored sweets into frozen handhelds, such as M&M’s with their Vanilla Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich and L’ original Macarons Ice Cream Sandwiches.
Looking for something new? Then head over to your local Walmart today to try out Entenmann’s ice cream sandwiches for roughly $4.96 a box. You won’t be disappointed.
