Tuesday night, Hannah Braun, 28, left two kids alone in her home and was caught on a doorbell camera attempting to ploy her way into a stranger’s home to abduct a baby.
“It’s me, Momma — Hannah,” Braun called out as she wandered onto the porches of two St. Petersburg homes. At one of the residencies, a child, 12, opened the door while holding her infant sister. You then see Braun enter the house and attempt to snatch the baby from her sister’s arms. Luckily, the mother of the two girls heard the commotion and ran her off.
“She’s standing in my living room, talking about, ‘I’m just here to get the baby,” Amber, the mother of the girls, told the news.
Inevitably, The whole ordeal has left Amber terrified to live in the area, stating how scary it is that “a random person can come to your house and literally take your child out of your house.”
At the second home, Braun tried to snatch a 1-year-old, according to the child’s grandmother.
“She said she was taking care of babies here… She wanted this baby,” the grandmother told the news.
Upon Brauns arrest, two frightened kids — under the age of 5 — were found at her home. One told an officer she “lost her mommy.”
Braun is being held on a $145,000 bond and his facing a handful of charges, some being, attempted kidnapping and burglary with assault.
