Davone Bess, formally of the NFL, has had yet another run-in with law enforcement officials.
According to Deadspin, Bess fled from a traffic stop and locked himself inside of his Arizona home. A SWAT team reportedly had to obtain a warrant to enter Bess’ home, where he was then arrested.
Arizona Republic reports that after the attempted stop, “Bess was located driving in his neighborhood, and he barricaded himself in his car.” The publication went on to state that, “eventually, Bess ran from his car to his home, where he continued to barricade himself until a warrant was granted for entry.”
Few details are available currently regarding the state and reasoning of Bess’ most recent ordeal. Bess previously had a bizarre run-in in March 2013 after police had to restrain him outside of his home in Florida. According to local police records hospitalized him after the incident.
