A Fulton County officer is facing serious jail time after being caught trying to smuggle contraband into the jail for one of the YSL defendants.
Officer Akeiba Stanley is being accused of using Instagram to contact Christian Eppinger, one of the men charged in the now infamous YSL RICO trial. She also visited his jail cell and spoke with him on a mobile phone he had in his possession. It’s unclear if Stanley got him the phone, but investigators believe she plotted with his family to bring him other items. The extent of the illegal contraband was not made public.
Eppinger was in the news earlier this year for stabbing another inmate who was rumored to be an affiliate of YFN Lucci. The man survived the attack, which resulted in additional charges for Eppinger. Just days ago, his attorney’s laptop was seized after a search warrant alleged that the defendant was browsing Instagram on it while in court.
As for Stanley, it’s also unknown if she had a romantic relationship with Eppinger prior to him going to jail. Records show she became a deputy in October 2022 and is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has been charged with hindering apprehension or punishment of a criminal, violation of oath by a public officer, conspiracy to commit a felony, and reckless conduct. Stanley was booked in the Fulton County Jail on Friday, though it appears she has now been released on a $5,000 surety bond.
