Future has been BUSY, busy on press tours, promoting his brand new album ‘The Wizrd.’ During his interview with Freebandz Radio, the rap star shared his opinion on Ciara and Russell Wilson and revealed why he went in on Wendy Williams.
Future’s longtime friend Big Bank Black conducted the candid interview and asked how the rapper felt about his baby mama’s new husband, Russell Wilson. In response, Future said he felt Wilson was not really being “a man” in his relationship with his wife, Ciara. “He do exactly what she tell him to do. He not being a man in that position. He not tellin’ her, ‘Chill out with that on the internet. Don’t even talk to him. I’m your husband! You better not even bring Future’s name up!’ If that was me, she couldn’t even bring his name up. She know that. She couldn’t even bring her exes’ names up.”
Elsewhere in the interview, when Mr. Hendrix was asked about talk show host Wendy Williams, who repeatedly blasted the rapper for having various baby mamas, he explained why her “baby mama chart” triggered him and why he responded the way he did.
“Man, the Wendy Williams situation, the only thing I was mad about her, putting my kid’s mother up that don’t want to be in the limelight. They’re not entertainers. Only time people know them is from me. If you see them responding, it’s because they want to respond. You can put her up. You can put them up. But don’t put the ones who ain’t responding. It’s two girls you’re putting on that list that don’t even…never do social media.”
Future also addressed his $10 million legal battle with his ex-producer and friend Rocko, who sued the rapper for alleged breach of contract. The two ultimately settled the suit out of court in 2017.
At the end of the broadcast, Future gave fans a listening party for ‘Wizrd,’ as he played the new album in its entirety.
What do you think about Future’s comments?
