Georgia authorities say an active shooter situation took the lives of four people in Henry County.
Hampton Police Chief James Turner says four murder warrants were issued Saturday afternoon for 41-year-old Andre Longmore and a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
The Henry County government says the shooting took place around 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the Dogwood Lakes area of Hampton, Georgia.
“Since 10:45 this morning, all hands have been on deck. It is… It is… our responsibility to investigate it and bring the person to justice,” said Hampton Police Chief James Turner.
Police have not said what led up to the shooting, but officials are calling it an “active shooter incident.”
“I can confirm that four people are deceased,” county government spokeswoman Melissa Robinson told The Associated Press by phone.
Longmore is described as being between 5-feet-10-inches and 5-feet-11-inches tall. He was last seen wearing long gray pants, a dark shirt with red tone, and carrying a black handgun.
Officials are asking residents to avoid the area if possible.
