A traffic stop in Braselton uncovered over $70,000 worth of drugs seized and found in a backpack inside the car driven by a 50-year-old man.
Hall County deputies made the bust around 4:00 pm Wednesday near the intersection of Old Winder Highway and Friendship Road, WSBTV News reported.
Deputies pulled over a pickup truck because the license plate displayed belonged to a different car without insurance.
While searching the vehicle, deputies found a backpack in the truck bed with over 1,000 grams of meth inside.
The estimated street value of the meth is $77,000.
John Ray Campbell, 50, of Gastonia, North Carolina, was given a sobriety test and taken into custody. He’s held at Hall County Jail with no bond. He’s also charged with driving under the influence.
