GloRilla Says Her R&B Era Is Coming — But She’s Not New to This

GloRilla is flipping the script very soon. While she may be known for her hard-hitting Memphis flow, this Southern diva has her sights set on a softer genre: R&B. 

Over on Twitter, Glo announced she will be delivering a full R&B album, though she did not elaborate on the specifics.

What makes this pivot interesting is that while GloRilla built her brand on street-certified energy, she has dipped into smoother territory with select collaborations. Her 2024 track “I LUV HER” with T-Pain taps into classic 2000s hip-hop and R&B chemistry, making it an instant radio hit. She also linked with Kehlani on “Xmas Time,” where her usual fire softened to fit a soulful, holiday melody.
