“Gorilla Glue Girl” Tessica Brown got a shoutout from Nicki Minaj on her new single, “Fraction.”
Brown, who captured the world’s attention earlier this year when she revealed that she used Gorilla Glue spray to style her hair, says that she usually gets offended when people refer to her by the nickname that was created by the media frenzy. However, coming from Nicki Minaj, Brown says that the lyric was cute. Though Onika didn’t reach out to Brown prior to rapping the line, the viral sensation hopes to meet the Queen Barb one day.
In “Fraction,” Nicki raps, “head game slicker than little miss gorilla glue.” The record is a part of the re-packaged version of “Beam Me Up Scotty,” her critically acclaimed 2009 mixtape. The 38-year-old announced that she would be re-releasing the tape to streaming platforms during an Instagram Live session Thursday night. In addition to “Fraction,” the re-release features new singles, “Crocodile Teeth Remix,” featuring Skillibeng and “Seeing Green,” which finds the Grammy-nominated star reunited with Drake and Lil Wayne.
Since moving on from the Gorilla Blue debacle, Brown is now expecting her sixth child. She recently got a wig makeover from celebrity stylist Kiyah Wright.
