Jen Shah‘s attorney will no longer represent her as she owes $124,000 in legal fees and expenses.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star is in debt to Priya Chaundry and the firm. Chaundry stated in a letter that her team “filed a motion to withdraw as counsel” on March 24.
The founder of ChaundryLaw PLLC claims the former reality star owes $50,000.00 in unpaid fees and $74,422.95 in unpaid expenses, totaling $124,422.95.
Shah, 49, rose to quick fame on Bravo’s Housewife franchise and was the lead during her time on the show. During season two, viewers saw Shah get arrested on-screen once the group’s bus was pulled to a complete stop as National Home Security investigated the vehicle and asked the ladies about Shah before she exited after receiving a strange phone call.
She was arrested in 2021 for targeting individuals, especially the elders, in a telemarketing scheme in which many lost thousands of dollars. Her former assistant, Stuart Smith, was also arrested.
Shah initially maintained her innocence before pleading guilty in July 2022.
The mother of two is behind bars and will remain until her release in August 2028. Shah originally had 6.5 years but got reduced a year early.
