Jill Scott’s Estranged Husband’s Lawyer Wants You To Stop Comparing Mike Dobson To Mary J. Blige’s Ex, Kendu Isaacs

After reports surfaced of Mike Dobson’s countersuit against Jill Scott, fans began to draw comparisons between Dobson and Mary J.Blige’s estranged husband, Kendu Isaacs.

Although both men have demanded money from their estranged wives amid their split, Dobson’s lawyer says the two cases are completely different.

“This case is apples and oranges compared with any other cases out here,” James Walker told @bossipofficial.

For instance, Blige accused her ex of spending over $400,000 on a mistress without a job. However, Walker says his client was a working man and never mistreated his wife.

“He is devastated by the demise of his marriage,” Walker said, adding that he wanted to stay in the relationship. “He really, really loved Jill and wasn’t one of those guys who married a celebrity. He married someone he fell in love with.”

However, in the wake of the surprise divorce filing and restraining order, and despite the hurt, Walker says he is working with Scott’s attorneys to settle the case out of court. But, he just wants what is owed to his client.

“We were hopeful and we are hopeful that we can sit down with Ms. Scott and her team and try to resolve this matter amicably,” Walker added. “We’re not trying to take advantage of her. We want what is due to Mr. Dobson.”
