John Cena hit an honorable milestone by setting a new Guinness World Record for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
According to CNN, Cena sets a new world record by fulfilling 650 wishes through the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The pro-wrestler-turned-action star began working with the charity in 2002, shortly after signing with WWE.
“There is no more humbling experience than a child who could ask for anything in the world asking to meet me,” Cena said. “I have faced some of the toughest superstars in WWE [World Wrestling Entertainment] history and I’ve never encountered more bravery or toughness than I see in each wish kid that I meet.”
According to Guinness, Cena is the most sought out celebrity for the foundation and the only person to grant over 200 wishes.
The foundation was created in 1980 with the goal of granting “life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.”
Many of the wishes are meeting celebrities and athletes or coordinating special events. Other celebrities who’s been involved with the foundation include Dwayne Johnson, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Snoop Dogg.
