JT Donates Over $13,000 to Help Cover Funeral Costs for Slain TikTok Star Girlalala

JT of the City Girls is continuing to show love in the most meaningful way. Following the tragic death of 21-year-old TikTok creator Girlalala, the rapper has donated a total of $13,500 to help cover her funeral costs.

Girlalala, born Maurice J. Harrison, was known for her energetic TikTok videos and deep connection to JT’s music. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds on Friday night in Lauderdale Lakes. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, she was in the passenger seat of a vehicle when deputies arrived. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but died shortly after.

Authorities arrested her boyfriend, Shanoyd Whyte Jr., at the scene. A firearm was recovered, and officials confirmed that a heated argument between the two escalated into a violent altercation inside his car. Whyte is currently being held on a charge of first-degree murder with a firearm.

Girlalala was a vibrant figure in South Florida’s transgender community, gaining popularity through her TikTok videos where she often rapped along to JT’s verses. Her personality gained Girlalala a following of over 280,000 on the platform.

When news of the tragedy spread, a GoFundMe was launched to support funeral costs. JT stepped in with four separate donations: one for $5,000, a second for another $5,000, a third donation of $2,500, and a final one for $1,000, bringing her total contribution to over $13,500.
