During a recent livestream, Cenat addressed the controversy surrounding the singer and his fellow streamer, which escalated following serious allegations of domestic abuse. Bailey was recently granted a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend after accusing him of physically assaulting her on multiple occasions. According to her police report, the alleged incidents began in January following a dispute over custody arrangements for their 18-month-old son, Halo. Bailey claimed DDG pulled her hair, slammed her face into a steering wheel, and chipped her tooth in a separate altercation. She also alleged that he entered her home without permission in March, took a photograph of her empty bed, and sent it to her along with a text message that read, “Now I know what you’ve been on, lol.”
In response to the public speculation, Cenat made clear that he does not intend to take sides.
“I know there’s a lot of things going on, but you gotta understand, bro,” he explained. “This is how I view it personally, bro…there is two sides of a story going on right now, and I am in the middle to where I have to be able to just see things play out…There’s two sides to every story, and you gotta be able to respect both of them, all you can do is pray for both sides.”
DDG has not spoken much about the accusations against him. Bailey has also kept quiet since the news broke.
