After months of swirling rumors and internet speculation, Kai Cenat has finally taken to Instagram to clear the air. The 24-year-old streaming giant has been at the center of a social media drama since his December 2025 breakup with content creator Gabrielle “Gigi” Alayah.
Between allegations of infidelity involving NBA YoungBoy and claims of messy behavior from those in his inner circle, Kai decided that a direct response was the only way to reclaim his narrative.
In a lengthy message shared with his millions of followers, Kai admitted that the constant spotlight has made it difficult to find peace. “I just want to say this from my heart. It can be confusing to see news about me and the people around me that isn’t true,” he wrote. “I’ve been sharing my life online for a long time now and know that once you share aspects of your life with the world, it can be hard to keep things private.”
The statement served as an explanation for his recent hiatus, as he noted that he needed to “take a step back from social media and process everything” before addressing the public.
The breakup originally went viral after Kai posted a blunt tweet stating, “I’m single, I will never be in another relationship again.” While fans initially speculated on the cause, the situation spiraled when Gigi fired back on her own Instagram Stories, accusing Kai of trying to paint a “false narrative” and playing a “sympathetic role.”
Kai’s new statement aims to shut down rumors, as he urges fans not to get caught up in the drama. “There have been rumors, speculations and comments made about my previous relationship and my friends. I want to apologize for not addressing things sooner,” he added. “If there’s ever something important, something real for me to address or say, you will hear it directly from me. You’ll always hear it from me. Don’t let all the noise distract from that.”
While the streamer is back to focusing on his business ventures, including his new clothing brand, Vivet, he ended his statement with a call for maturity from his fanbase.
Kai emphasized that his need for transparency applies to “everything in my life,” including his businesses and his future streams. Closing out the chapter, he offered a final olive branch to his ex-girlfriend. “I wish the best to Gabrielle and ask to please respect both sides,” he concluded.
