Kalina Collier Releases Statement Regarding Faking Abduction

Kalina Collier, the flight attendant accused of faking her abduction, released a statement on Sunday regarding her situation.

After testing positive for coronavirus while in Jamaica, Collier was advised to quarantine for 14-days at no extra cost to her hotel. A few days later, Collier turns to her Instagram to share with them in a live stream that she was being held hostage, ultimately looking for help.

A few days after that, Collier took to Instagram again, contradicting everything she said prior.
In a statement released on Sunday, Collier claims she never went missing, saying that she made that known a long time ago.

“Following my negative covid test, the hotel proceeded to cover their tracks once word got out and forced me to stay at the resort for the remainder of my quarantine.”

Collier alleges that the hotel– Ocean Coral Spring in Trelawny– was only worried about saving face. During her time, she says the staff harassed her to make a statement. They wanted her to make the public think what she was saying was a lie.

“These people will say anything to save face. I am here to say nothing I said in my live was a lie.”
Collier accused the hotel of leaking the numbers of the friends she traveled with her mother.

Collier states her family and friends were “harassed by numerous trolls and disgusting, sick people on the internet.”

Initially hesitant to say anything, Collier decided to speak out to avoid others speaking for her.

“This is something that will be handled legally,” she assured. “The proof is in the pudding, and I have nothing further to say on this situation. For those who were concerned, thank you.”
