Kanye West Admits Sway Did Have the Answers, After All [Video]

Kanye “Ye” West is walking back his infamous “You ain’t got the answers, Sway” moments in the midst of his legal battle with Adidas.

Back in 2013, West sat down with journalist and radio personality Sway Calloway on his “Sway in the Morning” show. During their chat, the two discussed West’s issues on finding a way to distribute Yeezys directly to the public. At the time, West told Sway he didn’t have the answers. But now, nearly a decade later, West says Sway was right.

“It was all kind of a disregard for the voice of something that I co-created. I co-created the product at Adidas. I co-created the product at Gap,” West said. “That means that I was there for some specific agenda, not for Yeezy Gap to be everything that it could be, or this dream that I had about what the Gap could be. It’s time for me to make my own thing.”

When asked about his previous words with Sway, West said Sway was right.

“I will go ahead and say, Sway had the answer. People are gonna be like, ‘No,'” said West.
