Kel Mitchell, the co-star of Nickelodeon’s Kenan and Kel show is pleading to a judge for help.
According to Radar Online, Mitchell wants a judge to help stop his ex-wife Tyisha from repeatedly dragging him back to court. The outlet obtained court documents of Mitchell asking the court to prohibit his ex from filing any new motions without the court’s permission.
Tyisha continues to go after her ex-husband despite a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruling that he didn’t owe her back support. Mitchell says she has a fee waiver which allows her to file without paying court fees.
She claimed not only was he a deadbeat dad to their two children but also said he owed her millions. Mitchell has denied all allegations, adding that his ex-wife has done everything she can to “drag” him and is on a path to her own destruction.
“I was forced to start over and made an active effort to get my life and affairs in order. I focused on rebuilding my relationships and my career,” he said. “Despite my best efforts, I’ve still had to spend all these years, and thousands of dollars, to defend myself against her actions. Tyisha has pained me as a deadbeat father, not only to this courtroom, but to the community, and my entire public platform.”
He went on to say he is an active father to his children.
Tyisha was not happy with the judge’s decision and has since filed several more motions, including a restraining order against Mitchell, the outlet added. She has also named his current wife in the legal dispute.
She is demanding $1.9 million.
