Well, it looks like singer-songwriter Kelis is giving up the city life for the country life.
The “Milkshake” songstress recently sat down with Architectural Digest, and she revealed that she would be selling her lavish Glendale, California home… for a farm.
Kelis purchased the traditional Spanish-style property back in 2012, and she says that it was the 1920s, vintage Hollywood-inspired interior design that initially caught her eye.
“The architecture inside of the house was amazing. It had a very dramatic, old Hollywood feel,” she recounts. “The backyard was so glamorous, and, really, for me, that felt great.”
Since settling into the five-bedroom home, Kelis has done some beautiful renovations, which include custom-made cabinets from Morocco and a gold-accented bathtub that comes straight from Indonesia.
However, the 38-year-old wants a change of scenery and, obviously, a new way of living. Not only for her but also her young sons, Knight and Shepherd.

“Now that I’ve got these two boys, I want to control a little bit more how we eat,” she explains. “We’re buying a farm; that’s why we’re moving so that we can grow everything and sustain everything that way.”

The classic home is currently going for $1.885 million.
