Kevin Gates recently opened up about his relationship with Wellness Coach Jade Ramey after the two had been seen making public appearances together.
Baller Alert caught up with Gates at the BET Awards Sunday, where he shared Ramey has been focused on his well-being and helping him focus on physical preparation.
“She always reminds me of the importance of stretching it out before any extracurricular activity,” he said.
When pressed about the nature of these activities, Gates clarified that they engage in body-activating practices such as yoga.
He elaborated, “Before you put the body in motion, you got to stretch it out really good, and she always, she always reminds me to, you know, exhibit that.”
Ramey and Gates’ most recent appearance sparked conversation due to the fact that he’s still married to his wife, Dreka Gates, with whom he has two children.
Although people aren’t sure about the status of Gates’ relationship with his wife, he and Dreka were seen together at ‘The Ceremony’ album listening party in Los Angeles earlier this year.
Gates and Dreka have been together for many years, and their relationship predates Kevin’s rise to fame. Since 19, the Baton Rouge native has managed her husband and was ultimately the driving force behind his success.
They were in a long-term relationship before marrying in October 2015 in a private ceremony.
The couple occasionally shared glimpses of their wedding day on social media, but have not yet clarified the current status of their relationship.
