In true Tristan Thompson fashion, LaKeith Stanfield is not letting the revelation of a secret baby get in the way of his happiness.
As 2023 came marching in, Stanfield revealed that he was headed down the aisle with his new fiancée Kasmere Trice. However, artist Tylor Hurd, the mother of his baby girl, decided that she and the couple’s child would no longer live in his shadows.
“decided to leave being someone’s secret family in 2022…meet Apollo Stanfield,” Hurd wrote in the caption of a now-deleted Instagram Reel, which featured moments between the Atlanta actor and their precious bundle of joy.
Hurd would also detail how the 31-year-old was an absentee father who cared more about his new relationship than their daughter. Naturally, social media had a time in light of these claims. Many defended Hurd’s decision to blast Stanfield, while others labeled her a “bitter baby mama” who was upset that the star seemingly moved on. This is not Stanfield’s first child. He and his former girlfriend, actress Xosha Roquemore, also share a daughter.
Despite the backlash, Stanfield says his relationship with Trice is stronger than ever.
“Beautiful time with my fiancé and the reinforcement of our bond in the midst of any kind of climate,” he wrote in a lengthy IG post on Monday.

When spilling the tea on their personal life, Hurd confirmed that Stanfield’s new bride-to-be was aware of their child together and even threw a few subliminal shots at her via social media. Trice has not responded to Hurd’s claims.
Also, in Stanfield’s post “addressing” the matter, he had a few things to say about love and its ability to “inspire really massive beautiful feelings of connectedness” while also invoking “pain and anger.”
Hopefully, Hurd finds peace with the situation as Stanfield and Trice enter marital bliss.
