Last week, Lala Anthony took to her home state to host her 4th annual Winter Wonderland Charity event benefiting Girls Inc. and the Police Athletic League of NYC.
The event was sponsored by Haddad Brands, Fashion Nova, Champion, KKW Beauty and more, and hosted by Viacom’s Vena E. And Paris Phillips, as Eat Clean Bro and Mike “The Situation” served healthy meals for the children through the event.
“I am so proud to be from New York City and make it my mission to give back to the community and the school system that made me who I am today,” Lala said. “Girls Inc. of NYC and PAL of NYC’s mission is to develop a community of self-confident and innovative young people. It’s our responsibility to empower the youth, not only in NYC but all over the world, to be the best versions of themselves so that the future of this world may be a little brighter.”
The fun-filled event included performances, giveaways, and more, with extraordinary gifts and prizes like game systems, Jordans, Beats headphones, and more. Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz’s sister, Genesis Collado-Feliz, also made an appearance for a moment of silence in honor of her brother.
According to the press release, Girls Inc. is a non-profit “founded to educate and serve young women ages 6-18 years old from diverse, ethnic, racial, and social-economic backgrounds.” While, PAL of NYC, “together with NYPD and the law enforcement community, supports and inspires New York City youths to realize their full individual potential as productive members of society.”
