21-year-old Philadelphia 76ers star Nerlens Noel is being called out by the landlord of a 4,800 square foot home he rented last year.
Noel paid $54,000 for a one year lease back in September 2014. However, when he moved out of the home in August of 2015, he left it in a condition way worse than one could imagine. The home’s owners list the damage as:Â
— “Splashed neon colored sports drinks (such as Gatorade) on the carpets throughout the home.”
— $30,000 in other damage to carpets
— Extreme water damage throughout the homeÂ
— Clogged toilets filled with cotton balls and feces
(In fact, the owners say the plumber who fixed the toilet told them the damage was so bad he told them, “Someone must not like you.”)
— Broken elevator Â
— $4,000 in damage to the stoveÂ
— damage to the fridge
— damage to the blinds
— damage to dishwasherÂ
— torn window screens
The owners also list that there was weed/roaches left throughout the home. When they contacted Noel in regards to the $42,000 it would cost to repair the damage, they say a mysterious tombstone brandished with “R.I.P” appeared on the lawn the next day. They’re considering this a death threat and have no doubt that it was Noel’s doing.Â
The owners of the home are suing for $75,000 in damages, for assault (the threat) and other random things. Noel, on the other hand, wants his security deposit back.Â
