Earlier this month, Philly rapper Lil Uzi Vert took to Instagram to announce his “retirement” from music, claiming he deleted all of his material and that he was “done” with music. He said, “I wanna take the time out to say I thank each and every one of my supporters, but I’m done with Music. I deleted everything. I wanna be normal … I wanna wake up in 2013. You are free.”
Well, it looks like he may not have totally been bluffing as he has pulled out of the Rolling Loud Australia lineup, completely. Although there has not been an official announcement of him dropping out, the new lineup schedule reflects the changes.
Live music discovery app, Whats lively, reported that Uzi will not be attending the inaugural event for “undisclosed reasons.” Lil Uzi’s slot has been filled by Rae Sremmurd and a “special guest,” who is rumored to be Gunna.
With the unexpected cancellation, it may be safe to say it has something to do with his “retirement.” We shall see what happens.
