As the battle between Keshia Knight-Pulliam and her estranged husband, Ed Hartwell, continues, a few uninvolved parties are vouching for the former baller in an attempt to swing the the divorce case in his favor.
If you recall, Hartwell filed for divorce in July, shortly after Pulliam announced her pregnancy. Since then, the two have been at odds, publicly exchanging insults and accusations. At that time, Hartwell denied paternity, saying that Pulliam had been unfaithful during their short-lived union. However, Pulliam denied those claims.
Now, almost two months after the birth of their daughter Ella Grace, Hartwell is seeking joint custody. Keshia strongly opposes, as she believes he tried to make her miscarry during her pregnancy. In any case, Hartwell has summoned the help of his ex-wife to help him obtained joint custody of his baby girl. Court documents filed by, Hartwell included a letter from Hollywood Divas star, Lisa Wu.
“I am never worried about my child when he is with his dad, I know his dad will do everything within his power to love, protect and provide for EJ while he is not with me,” Wu wrote. “I am positive that [Hartwell] will put his daughter’s best interest first as he has shown with my children.”
According to TMZ, Hartwell says he is willing to pay child support if it helps his case.
