A man died tragically after jumping 750 feet to his death off the roof of the Mandarin Hotel in Manhattan, New York.
Police believe the man leaped from the top of the five-star Hotel in Columbus Circle shortly after 9 p.m., police and sources said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, the New York Post reported. The man, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed, doesn’t appear to have been a guest at the hotel or living in its residences.
Authorities believe he took the service elevator to the roof wearing pajamas and said his body hit the glass awning after he jumped and his body split in half. The victim’s arm was found across the street from the incident.Â
There were no other injuries and no criminality is suspected at this time, cops said.
