According to Deadline, Mark-Paul Gosselaar best known for his role as Zack Morris from ’90s sitcom ‘Saved By The Bell’ will be returning for the reboot set to air on NBCUniversal’s upcoming streaming service. He will appear in at least three episodes and will be a producer.
The ‘Saved By The Bell’ original series aired on NBC for four seasons from ‘89-‘92. The hit show starred Gosselaar playing Zack Morris and guest-starred Mario Lopez as A.C. Slater, Jessie Spano as Elizabeth Berkley, Tiffani Thiessen as Kelly Kapowski, Dustin Diamond as Screech Powers, and Lark Voorhies as Lisa Turtle.
Shortly after ‘Saved By The Bell’ ended, there was a spin-off titled, ‘Saved By The Bell: The College Years’ that aired for one season from ‘93-‘94.
The reboot will have a new principal of Bayside High, John Michael Higgins from ‘Great News,’ and include Josie Totah from ‘Champions’ that will be playing a new character, Lexi.
The comedy series will be airing after the launch of NBCUniversal’s streaming service set for April.
