According to The Sun, Kate Moss was involved in an altercation that took place at a charity fashion show at the Cannes Film Festival and it was Mary J Blige who stepped in to diffuse the situation.
A source tells The Sun that the 43-year-old supermodel got into a very heated exchange with a partygoer after a night of drinking.
“Kate was having a great time with her mates,” said an onlooker. “They were all dancing, and then this woman came out of nowhere and said something to Kate. The woman was really angry. Kate tried to ask her what she was talking about.”
“It was the early hours of the morning and Kate was really letting rip,” another source said. “She was downing bottles of wine and throwing the flower arrangements around.”
Luckily, Kate’s pal Mary and a few others stepped in before things really got ugly.
“One of the girls came up to her and started squaring up, she didn’t like it one bit. It was about to get physical before Mary stepped in,” the source added.
“[Kate] was in shock, the music was really loud and it was hard to understand what everyone was saying but the woman seemed really aggressive, so a few people, including Mary, dragged Kate away so the situation didn’t escalate. It was completely ridiculous.”
The other party was asked to leave, while Kate Moss and crew continued to party the night away. It’s unclear what ignited the beef but it’s good that people were there to make sure the ladies didn’t come to blows.
A spokesman for the Fashion For Relief event declined to comment on the incident.
