Jamar Champ, the husband of “Love & Hip-Hop” star Masika Kalysha, has reportedly passed away.
On Tuesday, several outlets reported that Champ died in a car accident. While the details remain unclear, the couple shares a daughter, Amari, and he was also a present co-parent in the life of Masika’s oldest daughter, Khari, whom she shares with Fetty Wap.
The two wed in 2021. However, in January 2024, the reality star filed to annul her marriage to the former college football star. It’s unclear if this was ever finalized.
Masika has not yet spoken publicly about the death. However, she did share a cryptic tweet signaling trouble and seeking prayers for her family.
“God woke me up at 2:00 a.m…I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t know why. Jesus Christ, I received the [worst] news of my life. Pray for me and my kids, please,” she tweeted shortly before 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
