McDonald’s is kicking off the holiday season with the McRib, but only in a handful of cities.
The fan-favorite has begun popping up this week in select locations such as Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle, and St. Louis. McDonald’s confirmed that more cities may start seeing the McRib arrive starting November 17.
Originally launched in 1981 in Kansas City, the McRib is made from a pork patty shaped like ribs, covered in barbecue sauce, and served with onions and pickles on a hoagie-style bun. Despite previous “farewell tours,” the sandwich continues to return sporadically, building anticipation and long drive-thru lines each time.
As always, McDonald’s encourages fans to check with local restaurants to confirm availability. If this delicacy is available in your area, it is advised to grab yours before it’s too late.
In addition to the McRib, McDonald’s Holiday Pie will roll out nationwide starting November 14, another seasonal favorite that fans have grown to love.
