U.S. District Judge Paul Maloney ruled this week that a wester Michigan couple must pay $30,441 to their son for tossing out his pornography collection.
The ruling came eight months after David Werking, 43, filed a lawsuit against his own parents. WSVN reported.
Werking felt his parents had no right to get rid of his collection of porn, which included films, magazines, and other items even though he lived under their roof in Grand Haven for 10 months before relocating to Muncie, Indiana.
The judge’s hefty ruling of the payback was supported by an expert who helped determine the value of Werking’s collection, MLive reported. His parents also have to fork over $14,500 for their son’s legal fees.
Apparently, Werking didn’t realize his collection was gone until he had relocated to Indiana.
“Frankly, David, I did you a big favor getting rid of all this stuff,” his dad said in an email.
