LaMelo Ball, 18, is making an effort to donate to those in need.
Ball’s agent Jermaine Jackson revealed to ESPN Australia’s Corey Williams that the Illawarra Hawks point guard will donate one month of his NBL salary to people affected by the New South Wales wildfires in Australia.
Early Thursday, it was reported by the BBC that a week-long state of emergency haD been declared “in response to the escalating bushfire threat.”
According to Bleacher Report, “Since September, bushfires have killed 18 people and destroyed more than 1,200 homes across NSW and neighboring Victoria. At least 17 people remain missing after fires this week alone.”
Back in June, Ball took to ESPN’s ‘The Jump’ to reveal his decision to play for Australia’s NBL for the Hawks.
“I’m trying to be the No. 1 pick for the 2020 draft,” Ball declared.
