New Music Friday is filled with Southern flair and New York swag, with plenty of heat that we can’t stop listening to.
YFN Lucci continues to build on his “Already Legend” comeback album, this time with the “Gifted Edition” deluxe. The album includes six new tracks: “Fading Heart,” “Outta Mind,” “Real Nigga Diary” featuring Jeezy, “Wrong Time,” “Marni” featuring Hurricane Wisdom, and “Tell Me” featuring 42 Dugg and Lil Baby. Lucci and Jeezy teased the track earlier in the week, keeping fans fed with a steady flow of music since his jail release in January.
EST Gee makes his return with “Supreme Sanders,” his follow-up to November’s “Thug Club.” Reuniting with super-producer FOREVEROLLING, Gee delivers a refreshed sound that closely resembles his earlier work. Early reviews show appreciation for this familiarity and the subtle football reference, specifically the co-sign of NFL rookie Shedeur Sanders. EST continues to remain tight-lipped on album plans. Still, day-one fans believe he’s in a strong place musically.
Benny The Butcher is ending the year strong with a two-pack of singles known as “El Carnicero.” The first track, “IIGHT IIGHT,” is a quick ride at only 2:38, though he wastes not a second, packing a punch with each lyric. “Supernatural” is next, featuring Estee Nack. With undertones of old-school New York grit, Benny and Estee walk down this smooth Rickkromero and Killergarth-produced beat.
