New Music Friday is once again delivering, and this time, the ladies have something to say.
Yung Miami is reintroducing herself, delivering two new singles with a clear rollout underway. On Wednesday, the City Girls alum dropped a surprise single titled “News Flash.” After years of fighting the “can’t rap” accusations, Miami pulls out the bars on this transparent open letter to her fans. In the single, which arrived alongside a visual, Miami raps about her tough upbringing, rise to fame, and list of accomplishments. She didn’t stop there. After weeks of teasing, Yung Miami also released the long-awaited “Tea Time,” known across social media as “Two Fingers Touching.” Though not as introspective as “News Flash,” the clever “Tea Time” sticks to the classic Yung Miami formula: fun, flirtatious, and filled with South Florida flavor. While no album date has been unveiled, she has continuously hinted at her upcoming project — her first solo effort since City Girls disbanded in 2024.
SZA makes a splash this week with a new jingle for the kids. From the soundtrack for the Disney Pixar film “Hoppers,” SZA has unveiled the track “Save The Day.” This uplifting single is a perfect gateway to the film, which premieres in theaters on March 6. Full of fun and youthful energy, “Save The Day” will certainly be a standout moment in this heartfelt production.
Dess Dior comes back strong with her EP “Take Notes.” The five-track release may be short, but it packs a punch, filled with catchy flows, sharp punchlines, and plenty of attitude. Dess Dior includes standout features from Belly Gang Kushington, Saucy Santana, and Ken The Man. While she may be keeping things short and sweet, she doesn’t waste a single bar across this refreshing preview of what’s to come.
