Nick Cannon is adding 2 new radio shows to his ever-growing resume.
The first, ”Nick Cannon Radio’ will premiere Jan. 27, 2020, and will air during the afternoon drive Monday-Friday.
Shortly after the debut of that series, ‘Nick Cannon Weekends’ will premiere in February 2020 and will air Saturdays and Sundays on urban, rhythmic, and hip-hop stations.
Cannon, who is also currently the host of the radio show ‘Nick Cannon Mornings’ on the Meruelo owner hip-hop station Power 106, expressed his joy in being on the radio in a statement saying, “I love connecting with Los Angeles every morning on Power 106. The response and support has been amazing and very special; the natural thing is to take it to the next level with a new nationally syndicated daily drivetime and weekend show.”
Cannon’s newly syndicated radio shows are in partnership with Meruelo Media and Skyview Networks.
Meruelo Media president and CEO Otto Padron spoke on their current relationship with Nick at Power 106, stating, “Our partnership with Nick Cannon on Power 106 is proof positive that we are committed to invest in the very best and most compelling entertainment in the world. This content strategy, coupled with our carefully curated portfolio of heritage audio brands and popular personalities in the key market of Los Angeles, gives Meruelo Media very exciting syndication opportunities. Having a like-minded syndication partner like Skyview Networks is the perfect storm!”
Skyview Networks President and COO Steve Jones also spoke out about partnering with Cannon stating, “Nick Cannon is one of the most accomplished, creative and versatile entertainers in America and we are proud to be working with him and the team at Meruelo Media to launch Nick’s new syndicated shows. Nick is an influence, whose connection with audiences makes him extremely attractive to advertisers and radio programmers alike,” he concluded.
Cannon is no stranger to hosting as he previously hosted ‘America’s Got Talent’ from 2009-2016 and currently hosts Fox’s ‘The Mask Singer’ as well as his VH1 comedy series ‘Wild ‘N Out.’
“The show will feature original comedy and conversations with the people driving pop culture. I am looking forward to working with Skyview Networks and my Meruelo Media family to no reach all of the U.S.,” Cannon said.
