Nicki Minaj unleashed a post aimed directly at Don Lemon following his coverage of a Minnesota protest that unfolded inside a church led by an ICE field director.

The moment at the center of the outrage happened when protesters entered a Sunday worship service in St. Paul to confront the pastor, who also serves as an Immigration and Customs Enforcement field director. The demonstration was tied to anger over ICE enforcement actions in the area and quickly turned tense as chanting echoed through the sanctuary.
Don Lemon was on the ground documenting the scene, sharing footage and speaking with people involved as the protest disrupted the service. Clips from inside the church spread fast online, with critics accusing Lemon of crossing a line by covering the protest in a religious space.
Nicki Minaj jumped into the conversation with a blunt post on X, calling Lemon “disgusting,” accusing him of targeting religion, and demanding that he be jailed. She also claimed he would not have done the same thing in another religious setting, a statement that pushed the situation from political debate straight into cultural firestorm territory.
Lemon has not been charged with any crime, and there is no indication that law enforcement considers his reporting illegal. He has maintained that he was present strictly as a journalist documenting a news event, not participating in the protest itself.
