Less than five months after the Washington Redskins signed longtime Dallas Cowboys cornerback, Orlando Scandrick, the D.C. team has decided to part ways with the baller.
Back in March, Scandrick inked a two-year, $10 million deal – plus a $1 million signing bonus – with the Redskins, just days after the team’s division rivals released the nine-year vet.
But now, just weeks ahead of the 2018-19 NFL season, the Redskins have released the baller, as the team molds younger players for the position.
On the bright side though, Scandrick still has a chance to sign with another team, in fact, according to Ian Rapoport, he is already on his way to Kansas City to talk business with the Chiefs. In addition to that, Scandrick will still walk away from the deal with $1 million, from the signing bonus, which was the only guaranteed money in the contract.
