Sometimes you gotta just laugh it off. And that’s what Pete Davidson is literally doing.
On Friday, Netflix released a preview of Pete Davidson’s set at the Netflix is a Joke festival. The clip shows him addressing his relationship with Kanye West.
The four-minute snippet features Davidson, who is now dating Kanye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian, joking about Ye’s online harassment.
“I had an AIDS scare this year,” Pete quipped, before admitting that he went through the process of actually getting tested because of Kanye. Rumors of Kanye telling people that Davidson had AIDS was later refuted by a source who told TMZ it was all “nonsense.”
In the clip, Davidson also compares Kanye’s behavior to Robin Williams in the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire, which stars him as a recent divorcee who dresses up as a female housekeeper to spend more time with his children.
“Am I the only one who secretly hopes Kanye will go full Mrs. Doubtfire?”
Pete also revealed that he had been asked by people if he was offended that his friend Jack Harlow appeared on the Donda 2 track “Louis Bags,” when he says it “didn’t hurt his feelings,” before giving an example of something that would actually bother him.
“It would hurt if I saw like, Bill Burr at Sunday Service,” Davidson joked.
