81-Year-Old Pharmacist Charged for Trading Fentanyl & Other Drugs for Sex

An elderly pharmacist is behind bars after supplying multiple women with free fentanyl in exchange for sex.

Authorities say that 81-year-old Martin Brian used his Murray-Hill Pharmacy in Media, Pennsylvania, to peddle the pills to women who were severely addicted to the potentially lethal narcotics. The investigation kicked off on April 18th, when someone called police to report two unconscious people in a vehicle behind the pharmacy. When police arrived, they observed another woman informing Brian that they were there. When questioned separately, Brian and the woman gave conflicting stories. A search of her phone revealed instructions from Brian on how to respond to police questioning. The woman eventually confessed to police that Brian had been supplying her with drugs and money on a weekly basis in exchange for sexual favors. A second woman told authorities a similar story, revealing that she performed sex acts for Brian weekly and was given oxycodone, which she sold to buy heroin.

The DEA quickly joined the investigation and found that Brian’s pharmacy purchased the most significant amount of lethal drugs in his area, keeping his store stocked with high quantities of oxycodone, Xanax, and fentanyl between 2016 and 2021. A search of his business uncovered missing drugs that were not adequately accounted for and $50,000 cash inside a drawer. The pharmacy was ultimately shut down in June.

Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer slammed Brian, stating that his sexual desires led him to risk the lives of “every individual receiving these illicitly obtained drugs.”

Brian surrendered to authorities on Monday. He has been charged with multiple felony drug offenses, sexual extortion, and related crimes. A judge set his bail at $250,000, and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for November 17th.
