Many fans are continuing to sip the tea that was spilled last night after The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams took to Instagram to post photos that sparked rumors she was engaged to RHOA co-star Falynn Guobadia’s former ex-husband, Simon Guobadia.
And it looks like the rumors are true as the pair confirmed their engagement on Instagram.
Rumors first ignited during Porsha’s Mother’s Day celebration when she posted a photo of herself with her hand on Simon with a massive diamond on her left ring finger.
Porsha captioned her post: “Our relationship began a month ago—yes, we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast, but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night.” She added, “Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy, and to me, that is what matters most.”

On Simon’s Instagram, he captioned a photo of the two of them confirming the engagement also: “I’d like to seize this opportunity to thank every well-wisher of Porsha and I, whether via phone, text or DM. You affirm my believe that finding love is possible for everyone who genuinely seeks one.” He said, ” I asked her to marry me because we checked ALL of each other’s boxes, and then some. We have done the individual work to sustain a healthy relationship, and I stand next to her, proud that we found each other.”
Even though Simon filed for divorce from Falynn in January, months before he started dating Porsha, Williams said she had “nothing” to do with her fiancé’s divorce from Falynn.
“Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled,” Williams continued. “Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives.”
On April 22, Falynn announced their breakup on Instagram, writing that the decision to part ways was a “mutual decision was not made lightly” and she and Simon “are deeply thankful for the impact we have made in each other’s lives, as well as the bonds formed with each other’s children.”
I guess we should say love wins, and we wish everyone involved the best.
