Prosecutors Claim Michigan School Shooter Ethan Crumbley Gets “Fan Mail” in Prison

A Michigan prosecutor in the multiple homicide case against 15-year-old alleged school shooter Ethan Crumbley has argued that the teen should remain in jail rather than being transferred to a juvenile facility because he has “a deeper and more calculated mind than any other 15-year-old.”

Prosecutors claim the teen has reveled in his newfound notoriety after being accused of killing four classmates at Oxford High School on Nov. 30.

His parents, James, and Jennifer Crumbley are also in jail on involuntary manslaughter charges for allegedly buying the weapon their son used in the shooting spree.

Oakland County Assistant Prosecutor Kelly Collins told the court on Tuesday that Crumbley “enjoyed his dark side” and has even asked how could he obtain his fan mail and hate mail. 

Crumbley’s lawyers want the teen moved from Oakland County jail to Children’s Village in Pontiac, which the prosecution argues is not appropriate for such a sinister kid.

Judge Kwame Rowe will rule on whether or not to transfer Crumbley next week.
