NBA star Rajon Rondo settles his 2020 assault and battery lawsuit.
On Saturday, TMZ reported that the plaintiff, Toktam Jorshari, filed a notice in an L.A. court that a settlement was reached between the parties. In July 2020, Jorshari accused Rondo and his girlfriend of assault and battery in a parking lot outside an apartment complex.
According to Jorshari, Rondo was upset that her car was parked too close to his Rolls-Royce vehicle.
In a viral video clip, Rondo is seen making brief contact with Jorshari with his elbow. Rondo’s now-fiancé, Latoia Fitzgerald, then strikes the woman in the head and face multiple times.
“No man should ever put their hands on a woman,” Jorshari’s attorneys said. “Especially an NBA basketball player with superior height and strength. The video speaks for itself.”
Jorshari claimed that she suffered with multiple injuries from being confronted and assaulted during the incident.
